The Max-Born-Realschule, |
 |
named after the German physicist Max Born, was built in 1969. It’s placed
in the schoolcentre Asseln, one of the eastern suburbs of Dortmund,
together with
Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium and Hauptschule Wickede with 2500
students all together. Of course there is a distinct readiness of
cooperation.
The school ground that looks like a kind of park is espacielly funished
with PE – and playgrounds and two gyms, two sports grounds and
grassplaygrounds. And a schoolgarden is connected to this equipment.
The Max-Born-Realschule actually owns 29 classes with about 800
students and 49 teachers which go to school here from Monday to Friday
every day between 8 a.m and 3 p.m. Qualified teachers face motivated
pupils. The education and integration of all students
into a large community are regrading the social behavior and work
behavior is very important for us. Through the honorary title >>school
against racism<< the school staff feel beeing obliged to improve the
different students‘ competences, e.g. to act responsibly and to
encourage their talents.
As a ever young school we concentrate on modern educational topics. With
a lot of various projects we are improving methods to “learn learning”.
Anti-violence training and dispute settlement are other important topics.
We promote contacts to the local industry and business, so that our
students can find suitable training places. You can find even more
topics in our school program. It is varied and gives detailed
information about all of our activities.
Our schoolhomepage documents our school life. The students present
their projects, results, messages, pictures and photos by creating a
vivid design of the pages. The links, often created by the students help
to surf in the internet and look for informations. The variety of
information of our schoolhomepage, created by students, parents and
teachers, prove a high interest and sense of responsibility of designing
our every day school life.
But what is most important:
Our students are engaged in making school life
interesting. |
